PATIENTS CAN NO LONGER WAIT!

Cancer doesn’t work around our schedules so myeloma patients shouldn’t have to work around government’s.

Multiple myeloma is a complex disease and is characterized by cycles of disease control and relapse and in most cases, treatment will eventually lose its effect. Patients need new options after a relapse. Their lives depend on it.

We are fortunate that several life-changing treatments have been approved by Health Canada in recent years however, access to innovation is delayed for Quebecers. Most of these therapies are available in the rest of Canada, but patients living in Quebec are still waiting.

It’s time for our government to support innovation and fund oncology treatments. Now more than ever, we need to work together to make our voices heard in order to gain access to the new drugs that have been proven to be effective in managing this disease. Thousands of patients depend on it.

WHY WE NEED TO BE HEARD:

  • Quebec patients should be able to benefit from the treatments that are already available in the other provinces.
  • Overall survival and quality of life of those impacted by myeloma needs to remain a priority.
  • Quebecers should have access to innovation.

Write your local provincial candidates and urge them to take action today!

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO TAKE ACTION?

  • When someone is dealing with myeloma, it affects the entire family and loved ones. Fight for your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, and friends.
  • Politicians react to voters. They need to hear myeloma patients can lead full, productive lives with access to these therapies.
  • We need to work together to effect change!
